Everyone was friendly and helpful.
I wished the Tavern was a bit quieter when we were having some dinner.
The location was good, the wifi worked good. Great restaurant on 158 main street.
The Air conditioning did not work, we had a hard time sleeping and had to open the window. Across the street a church bell tolls every hour on the hour throughout the night. There is a Tavern attached to the hotel - very noisy in the parking lot around 11 PM, a lot of drunken folks getting into their cars. No $5 breakfast voucher as indicated on the web site. No dining room as advertised on web site. Direct TV did not work.
Staff was very nice, Nice little tavern and a bakery on site. Room was very clean, Had things in the downstairs fireplace area for kids Like games and jig saw puzzles. Classic Inn experience
No air conditioning in our room, They had a fan to put in the window but it was warm, I understand this is more of a ski place but it gets hot up there also.
We stay at this inn everytime we go to Vermont because it's close to our daughter's house. We love it. It's early American so you really get a sense of our history. The food at the restaurant is excellent and creative. We definitely recommend this hotel.
No environmental controls in the room, had to wait 1.5 hours to check in, room very small, staff in bakery unfriendly.
Very comfortable. We enjoyed both resturants. Food was great.
The mix and The Tavern!! Awesome dining!
If you are looking for a hustle bustle chain hotel this isn't for you. A classic bed and breakfast style inn with crooked floors and slanted staircases. I mean what can you say when you ring a cowbell to get someone to check you in. Perfect! Sit on the porch in the swing or a rocker on a warm summer night. Patrick covered us on a mistake I made with the booiking (wrong night) and Bill kept the place running until it was time to take a swim in the river. I had not been in the Jeffersonville area for over 30 years but I was relieved to see that it hasn't changed much....and that's a good thing. Smugglers Notch Inn was great and the locals are the best. Goog wifi, too.
Beautiful 18th century inn with air conditioned rooms, cable TV, modern shower and plenty of hot water. The porch swing was cozy.
Historic ambiance, clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent food, picturesque location - all at a great price.
We liked that it was on the historic register, it gave quaintness to the slanted floors and rustic charm. The food at the Tavern was very good. The price was a plus also.
Our room had clothes and condoms from a previous guest in the dresser drawer. The bakery was closed for the holiday (odd) and the inn did not even provide coffee in the lobby.
The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The Inn was clean, charming and very historical. The proximity to the ski hill was essential. The convenience of having restaurants at the Inn was a plus.
